Come for the day, or stay for the weekend, party till late, enjoy breakfast the next day with your family and friends, make our house your house, and memories to last a lifetime. With a choice of beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces we can provide the perfect setting for each part of your special day, or a marquee if you prefer. With such a stunning backdrop there are plenty of opportunities to capture those magical moments with some wonderful photographs, no need to worry about the weather. Time to get ready…
The Drawing Room is exclusively yours. An elegant space to be pampered on the morning of your special day, plenty of room for all of your favourite people. The drawing room is equipped with everything you will need, a complimentary bottle of fizz, refreshments, and bowl of fresh fruit. Overlooking the main drive, watch as your family and friends arrive before making your entrance down the magnificent double staircase, as truly wonderful site as your enter the main hall. The perfect way to start your day.
Time to say ‘I Do’…
With a selection of beautiful spaces both traditional and unique, there is something to suit all tastes and group sizes. We offer a choice of unique ceremony rooms, choose from the richness and warmth of the red gallery, or the light and airy tones of the yellow gallery. For something larger there is always the Victorian Orangery with stunning views of the terrace and formal gardens. In the glorious summer months enjoy an alfresco ceremony in the Sunken Italian Garden or the spectacular grounds. At Grittleton House we cater for all special occasions and welcome Civil Partnerships, Humanist Ceremonies, Same Sex Weddings, Naming Ceremonies and the Renewal of Vows. Time for photos, food and fun…
Congratulations. With a celebratory drink in hand, take a wander around the house and grounds, discovering all of our fabulous photo opportunities, leaving your guests catch up with friends and family, whilst enjoying a glass of fizz and delicious canapés. With the photos done, it’s time to turn the focus to food & drink. Our fabulous team of chefs have created a range of menus, using the best and where possible local ingredients. As part of your package our couples are all invited to attend one of our sociable group Tasting Evenings, where they will get to sample a selection of food and drink from our Countess Menu. If you require something different our chefs are happy to work with you and create your own bespoke menu (minimum charges and a consultation fee will apply). Sample our food and drink

It’s time to let your hair down and get the party started. Whether you want a live band or disco, our dance floor will make your first dance truly memorable.
Time for Bed…
Stay in one of our beautifully refurbished master bedrooms, or family suites, why not invite family and friends to stay over too where they can choose from accommodation in the main house or the rustic charm of the old stables, before all coming together for breakfast in the Morning room.
